Taj and Tigers, two things that go hand in hand when it comes to wildlife and culture in India. However, not many people make an effort to see yet another beautiful cat, the Leopard. Jim Corbett said, “Those who have not seen a Leopard in its natural surroundings can have no conception of the grace of movements, and beauty of coloring, of this the most graceful, and the most beautiful o all animals we have in our Indian Jungles. His attraction is not limited to his outward appearance, pound for a pound his strength is second to none, and in courage he lacks nothing”. There is no place better than Bera to see this beautiful, graceful animal. A three night stay here gives a certainty of a good Leopard sighting, not once, but at least a couple of times, maybe even the young cubs.

Well known for the diurnal activity of tigers, Ranthambhore is a very special and unusual area where a natural present meets a historical past. Sambar, cheetal, chinkara, nilgai and languor. The elusive leopard and tigers are found in this reserve with tourists standing a very good chance of seeing tigers during the safaris. Not only Leopards! Another magnificent wildlife habitat Bera is famous for, Crocodiles. What actors are they; 15 feet giants can fool anyone with their sleepy lying illusions. They could be as active as in the hunting process even if they are doing nothing. They won’t move, hence sometimes create a camouflage with the rusty muddy ground near the reservoir and we have to focus as we see them from a distance. They sunbath for the entire day and whenever hungry they simply dive in the lake full of fishes, which makes sightings go difficult when they are in action, however they will always be visible in a sunny day lying on the shore.
