Their presence was first discovered by the British Foresters in Central Provinces. These jungles were later immortalized by Rudyard Kipling in his famed “The Jungle Book”. The author behind the book was credited with a Nobel Prize in the field of literature for his fantastical works that drew inspiration from the jungles of Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench. His famous fictional character Mowgli was depicted as a native of these jungles, dwelling and exploring the hills of Seoni with his merry brigand of friends, Bagheera, Baloo and Kaa.

The name ‘Just Tigers’ was coined by none other than famous conservationist Jim Corbett He placed great emphasis on the importance of shooting Tigers by a camera than a rifle. He said, taking a good photograph not only ends up giving the photographer pleasure, but also the thousands of people it is shared with. It took Corbett close to 200 Tiger sightings before he caught his first Tiger on camera. However, fortunately for us, it is not all that difficult to click a tiger today or to sight one for that matter.
